Some of the Common Solution Heat Treat Processes for which SECO WARWICK ALLIED provides comprehensive furnace systems are

• Solution Heat Treatment in which an alloy is heated to a suitable temperature, held at that temperature long enough to cause one or more constituents to enter into solid solution and then cooled rapidly enough to hold these constituents in solution.
  
  
• Precipitation Hardening to precipitate a constituent from a supersaturated solid solution.
  
  
• Aging or Ageing to change the properties of certain metals and alloys at moderately elevated temperatures after hot working or a heat treatment or after a cold working operation. [The change in properties is often, but not always, due to a phase change (precipitation), but never involves a change in chemical composition of the metal or alloy].
